Adventure Pitches

These are just some ideas for games I'd be cool with running. Just trying to get an idea of what y'all would be interested in playing, so feel free to read through and let me know what sounds interesting 👍

The Sea of Stars

A falling star has shone throughout the night sky of the pirate-infested waters of The Dreadful Haven. The rumors say that those who find a fallen star will have their even their wildest wishes granted.

It will be a race to the finish line, as many different groups have taken to the sea, all hoping to be the first to reach the fallen star. Your group is no different, with all the power and riches you could imagine seemingly flashing before your eyes, you'd be a fool not to chase it down.

Politics: Low
Roleplaying: Medium
Combat: Medium/High

Player Buy-in: If sailing dangerous waters, fighting off rival pirates, and dealing with strange encounters along the path to the fallen star sounds interesting, then this is for you.

You will create characters that for one reason or another, would have a desire to chase down this treasure. You guys can be a pre-established group of pirates/sailors with some experience under your belt, or you could ally with existing groups that will be present. Perhaps you'd like to come up with your own ship and crew, I'm pretty flexible as to how that can play out.

The Unlit Sun

Some sort of gritty realism survival expedition, not too much here yet

Portal Peril

For the past few months, the otherwise peaceful land of Estria has been experiencing increasingly frequent onslaughts from beings outside of their world. Portals from other dimensions are opening and closing left and right, seemingly at random.

Efforts to ensure the safety of the people are becoming nigh impossible, but there is however a last-ditch effort to unravel the mystery behind all the chaos. An expedition into these unknown worlds, and one which only the bravest among those left are willing to undertake.

This would be a primarily combat focused adventure, with the party travelling through many different realms, fighting a diverse range of monsters, and attempting to put an end to the problematic portals.

Politics: Low
Roleplaying: Probably low?
Combat: High fo sho
Player Buy-in: Every week will take the party through a different world, with the hope being that no two feel the same. Each meet most likely take the form of a few fights themed around the current dimension, the last of the session being a boss fight, with hints to what's going on being sprinkled throughout.

Characters would need to be ready to leave everything behind with the hope being that they can find a way to stop the madness. Perhaps they have nothing left to lose, maybe the glory of being the hero of the realm appeals to them, honestly any reason for choosing to dive headfirst into the fray is a good one.
